Deep Purple

The ultimate Deep Purple lineup was: Ian Gillan (vocal) Ian Paice (drums) John Lord (keyboards) Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), and Roger Glover (bass). This lineup produced three of the best Deep Purple albums, Fireball, Machine Head, and Who Do We Think We Are?. These three albums are all solid from start to finish with tunes like:

  • Fireball
  • Strange Kind of Woman
  • The Mule
  • Fools
  • Highway Star
  • Pictures Of Home
  • Smoke On The Water
  • Lazy
  • Space Truckin'
  • Woman From Tokyo
  • Mary Long
  • Super Trouper
  • Rat Bat Blue
  • Our Lady

One of my favorite Deep Purple tunes, because it is so different, is Anyone's Daughter, off of the Fireball album. This song has an almost country flavor, but has some great keyboard (piano), guitar, and really humorous lyrics (whad'ya think about that!). Check it out!
